ny flowering shrubs this does best in full sun, but it is more shade tolerant than most forsythias. One aspect of this plant that makes it desirable is that it tolerates summer heat and drought.  The plant will blooms on previous year's wood, so pruning should be done immediately after flowering.

Other Interesting Facts:
This forsythia cultivar is a spreading, mounding, deciduous shrub which typically grows 3-5' tall and is most noted for its unusual gold foliage color. This is a true harbinger of spring as the flowers come into bloom before the leaves and can bloom in late winter or early spring.  The oval leaves emerge lime green in spring, but mature to a golden yellow and remain attractive throughout the growing season.  If the plant gets too much shade then the leaves will not be as golden yellow.
