Moving A Plant: Its not so difficult

Moving a plant after you divide is actually quite easy.   Some things to keep in mind.

Move some of the soil from location one into location two and mix it around.  This will help with the shock of the plant being moved.

Add some granular phosphate to the bottom of the hole where the root area is, this will help promote root growth.

Add a liquid fertilizer like plant starter to help with shock. 

Be sure to keep the plant well watered for the first few days and then regularly until it is re-established.

Stake your plant if its not sturdy enough to be on its own.

Pack the soil around the base tightly and be sure there are no air pockets in the hole.
