hs so you can bring spring inside even in the winter.

Any of these types of branches will do well forced indoors. Some of them will take up to three weeks. The closer they are to their normal blooming time outdoors, the faster they will bloom indoors. This week I am showing pussy willow, yellow forsythia and quince.

This link also has a couple of interesting techniques:

1.       Basically you cut the branches at an angle.  I like to have at least 18” of branch.
2.       If the temperature outside is under 32F then soak the branches overnight in cool water.
3.       If the temperature outside is over 32F skip that step.
4.       Place the branches in warm 110F water for 30 min keeping the water level at 3”
5.       Then fill the rest of a quart vase with a preserving solution.  (See Below)
6.       Keep the branches in a cool spot, preferably with a humidifier in light but not bright sun.
7.       Once the branches begin to open move them to an area to enjoy.

I move mine to a cool spot at night to prolong the blooms.
