Attracting Cardinals To The Garden
I love feeding the birds. I think its just so awesome to have birds in the yard adding more life. Over the years I have found many tricks to attracting the best variety of bi
rds and keep the squirrels away!
Let's talk food for a bit. Cardinals love sunflower seeds. I use the oil seeds and also a mix of safflower. I have one of these feeders outside my kitchen. I use to fight the squirrels and then I discovered the baffle.
Notice the baffle around the bottom of the pole. The squirrels can not climb up the pole and therefore can not get to the food. You must place the pole at least 12 feet from anything else the squirrels can climb on and jump to the pole.
